How to add your G Suite account to your iPhone mobile phone

How to set up your G Suite account using iPhone Mail app

Automatically set up your G Suite email account with just your email address and password. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts.

  • Tap Add Account, then select Google as your email provider.

  • The system will display: Settings Wants To Use Google.com To Sign In. This allows the app and website to share information about you. Tap Continue.

  • Enter your email address and password.

  • Tap Next and wait for Gmail to verify your account.

  • Review the settings for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Notes. Enable the slider for each app to sync data to the device, then tap Save.

  • Wait as the system syncs your selected account data to your device. This can take some time, so you may want to remain in a location where your device has access to a fast internet connection during the initial sync.

  • Optionally, you may want to review iOS system settings after you've added your G Suite account to your device. When you have more than one account configured on your iPhone or iPad, you may select which account serves as your default account for Mail, Calendar, or Contacts:

  • Settings | Mail | Default Account, then select default account for email

  • Settings | Contacts | Default Account, then select default account for contacts

  • Settings | Calendar | Default Calendar, then select default account for events

Add your G Suite account using the Gmail app

The best way to use G Suite is to use the Gmail app on your mobile phone. To add it see the below steps:

  • Open your Gmail App from your phone. If you don’t have the application go to your App Store App and download the Gmail App

  • There will be a welcome message for the newly installed Gmail App. Select Skip to proceed to add a new email.

  • Select “Add an email address”.

  • Then select “Google”.

  • Enter your Email and Password.

  • Confirm the Google Terms of Service by choosing “I Agree”

  • If there are any Google Services that are asking for access through your account you can choose “Accept” on the selected apps.

  • Once it is done you are able to use your G Suite account in Gmail by reopening the Gmail App and choose “Take me to Gmail”.
